New position available
Productivity Partner (/executive assistant)
for Martin Skadal, CEO of World Saving Hustle, Altruism for Youth and Skadal Holding AS.
We currently have an exciting volunteer position available, working closely with me, with the potential to become the 5th employee in the future. At the beginning, we will collaborate through digital meetings to coordinate and delegate a few tasks. As we progress, our aim is to secure more funding, allowing the productivity partner role to grow into a more substantial position. The person is being onboarded slowly, and it will happen at a pace that the candidate is comfortable with as they master different aspects. Position is aimed to go from a few hours a week in the start to becoming a full-time role in the end.
This opportunity offers a unique chance to contribute to meaningful work in the areas of human rights, animal rights, and nature/climate conservation, within the organisations World Saving Hustle and Altruism for Youth, as well as “greenfluencer” work through @skadal. While the initial position is a volunteer role, we have ambitious plans to expand and provide increasing support.
By joining us, you will be an essential part of our team, working alongside passionate individuals dedicated to making a positive impact on the world. Your contributions will be valued and play a crucial role in our collective efforts. We hope this is an exciting journey to be part of, with the potential for growth and professional development.
Responsibilities could include one or several of these:
Project management: Assist in maintaining an overview of projects, creating and updating project plans, delegating tasks, and monitoring progress.
Communication and collaboration: Maintain effective communication among collaboration partners and within the voluntary organizations I manage, including meeting scheduling and coordination of collaboration tools. This also includes booking of public speaking events and booking podcast guests.
Reliable reminders: Ensure that important dates, events, deadlines, and meetings are not overlooked by creating and sending reminders and notifications.
Research support: Contribute to collecting and analyzing research materials, statistics, and reports related to human rights, animal welfare, and environmental conservation. Identify relevant case studies and best practices to inform and strengthen our projects and initiatives.
Strategic planning: Assist in developing strategies and action plans that address the complexities of human rights, animal welfare, and environmental challenges. Help identify key objectives, define actions, and monitor progress to ensure we are moving towards desired outcomes in a structured and efficient manner.
Evaluation and learning: Implement evaluation methods and continuously monitor project progress. Identify successes and areas for improvement, ensuring continuous learning and adaptation of strategies and actions based on insights gained along the way.
Content creation: Filming, editing, animation, photography, audio, SoMe-r and really anything related to content.
Your opportunities and benefits include:
Making a meaningful impact: By joining us as a productivity partner, you will have the chance to contribute to important causes such as human rights, animal rights, and nature/climate conservation. Your work will directly contribute to positive change and create a better world.
Collaboration and learning: You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team of passionate individuals who share a common goal. Collaboration and knowledge sharing will foster personal and professional growth, allowing you to expand your skills and understanding of global issues.
Flexibility and autonomy: We value work-life balance and offer flexibility in managing your tasks and schedule. As a productivity partner, you will have the autonomy to organize your work efficiently while aligning with the organization's objectives and deadlines.
Personal development: We are committed to your growth and development. You will have access to training resources, workshops, and networking opportunities to enhance your skills, expand your knowledge, and stay updated on emerging trends in your areas of interest.
Positive work environment: We foster a supportive and inclusive work environment where your contributions are valued and appreciated. You will be part of a team that celebrates diversity and encourages open communication, collaboration, and mutual respect.
If you live in Bergen or Oslo (which would be amazing, but not needed), then I’ll pay for coffee/tea and snacks when we meet.
After a test period and if we’ll fit, you’ll get a symbolic 1000kr/month. This could pretty easily increase up to 4000kr within the next few months and my big goal would be to get it up to around 10 000kr/month within the next 12 months, 20 000kr/month within the next 24 months and in some years achieve 30-40k depending on the responsibility and work area.
Qualifications (this is more a wishlist, but all points are not needed as it’s only a volunteer position)
Interest for human rights, animal rights, and nature/climate conservation.
Speaking and writing Norwegian is a big plus, but not 100% needed.
Experience in project management and the ability to organize and keep track of tasks and projects.
Good communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and be an active contributor within a team.
Research proficiency, with the ability to gather and analyse research materials, statistics, and reports.
Strategic thinking skills to develop long-term strategies and action plans.
Evaluation expertise to implement evaluation methods and monitor project progress.
Passion for driving positive change and the ability to engage and motivate others in our initiatives.
Flexibility and adaptability to work effectively in a dynamic and evolving environment, taking on diverse tasks as needed.
If these opportunities and benefits resonate with you, I encourage you to submit your application to my email at martin@worldsavinghustle.com. I don’t expect many applications as it’s a volunteer one, but if you’re one of those who could consider it and have read all of this, feel free to just send a simple application with who you are and why you’d consider having this type of role. I’ll reply within a few days. I look forward to hearing from you and exploring the potential of working together to make a lasting impact.
